STeSI MRP Crew - Planning Board

Deciding who mans which line is a question about a week, not about a record. This board shows the whole week at a glance: one row per work center, one pill per operator on shift, and a filling bar telling you where the work waiting exceeds the people there.

Who is it for

Production planners already using STeSI MRP Crew who want to see and change the staffing of the plant the way they see the schedule: on a board.

How it works

One row per work center — including the ones with nobody on them, which are exactly the rows you are looking for.
Drag an operator to another work center, or stretch a shift, and the expected durations of the work orders on both lines follow at once.
A bar on each row compares the work planned there with the hours it is actually manned: over 100% it turns red.
Closed hours are greyed out, read from the calendar of the work center and from its maintenance stops.
The same board can be read the other way round, one row per operator, to see who is uncovered or overloaded.

The result: short staffing becomes visible a week before it becomes a delay, and fixing it is a drag of the mouse.

STeSI MRP Crew - Planning Board

The Gantt board of the crew assignments: coverage of the plant over time, load against staffing per work center, and drag & drop to move a person from one line to another.

Features

One row per work center, one pill per operator on shift, over the day, the week or the month.
Drag & drop to move an operator between work centers and resize a pill to change the shift hours; the work order durations follow immediately.
Filling bar per work center — the work planned in the visible window against the hours the center is actually manned; over 100% the bar turns red.
Closed hours greyed out, from the work center calendar and its maintenance stops.
Work centers with nobody on them still get a row — the case the board exists for.
Pills coloured by origin, so a shift generated from a pattern, one decided by the allocator and one typed by hand are told apart at a glance.
The same board per operator, to see who is uncovered or overloaded.

Worth knowing before you buy

It is the companion board of STeSI MRP Crew and needs it installed.
The Gantt view is an Odoo Enterprise feature, so this board needs Enterprise. On Community the crew module still plans with its list and calendar views.
It installs by itself wherever both are present.
