Project Planning Resume
Economic value and estimated costs of projects and tasks, prorated on the planning
Puts an economic value and an estimated cost on every task, rolls them up on the project, and prorates the value on the planned dates to answer *how much should have been achieved by today*.
Features
- Task Value and Estimated Costs on the task; Project Value and Estimated Total Costs rolled up on the project.
- Task Value Today – the share of the task value due today, prorated between the planned start date and the deadline.
- Margin on the project, as (Project Value − Estimated Total Costs) / Project Value × 100.
- Daily scheduled action refreshing the prorated values.
- The figures are snapshotted on the project updates.
Demo data
- The North Offices Upgrade project, whose three tasks sit before, across and after today, so the proration shows its three cases at once.
- Design (finished) is due in full at 15 000.00, Building works (half way) at 30 000.00, Testing and handover (not started) at 0.00 — for a project value of 87 000.00 and a Task Value Today of 45 000.00.
