MRP BoM Variant Creator

When a product uses dynamically-created variants, the exact variant you need may not exist yet — and a Bill of Materials or Manufacturing Order only lets you pick existing ones. MRP BoM Variant Creator brings the Sales product configurator to manufacturing so the missing variant is created on the spot.

Who is it for

Manufacturers working with configurable products and dynamic variants who build BoMs or Manufacturing Orders for combinations that are not pre-generated.

How it works

On a BoM or MO component line, pick the product template instead of a specific variant.
The configurator opens: choose the attribute values (and any free/numeric value, e.g. a length).
The matching variant is created on demand — or reused if it already exists, never duplicated.
Custom and optional values are captured and shown as a clear description on the line.

The result: No more dead-ends when a needed variant doesn't exist yet — configure it inline and keep working.
